International Jury Announcement
GDC设计奖2023围绕「确定的不确定」为主题，着重关注「创意表达、科技融合、人文关怀、未来探索」四个方向，力图聚焦更加丰富的创意呈现，探索更加多维的视觉表达，以及时代浪潮下，如何革新设计体验，同时带来更具社会价值以及人文情感的融合实践。
在GDC设计奖2023的评选中，我们非常荣幸邀请了一批享誉国际的知名设计师组成的评审团。这个团队汇聚了不同年龄段的专业设计师，每一位评委都拥有广泛的设计实践经验和前瞻性的设计理念，来自不同国家和文化背景，代表着各个专业领域。国际评委将以严谨和公正的态度，从专业的角度出发，对所有参赛作品进行仔细评审，将深入了解每一件作品背后的创意灵感、设计原理以及表达的意义。评判标准将聚焦于创新、实用性、美学价值以及对社会和环境的积极影响。
我们坚信杰出的国际评委们的参与将为GDC设计奖2023带来更加多元化和丰富的视角。他们的专业见解将为参赛者们提供宝贵的指导和启发，助力他们在设计创作中更加精益求精，不断追求卓越。让我们共同期待国际评审团的专业评判，相信他们的参与将使得本次GDC设计奖2023成为一个值得铭记的设计盛宴。
The era of rapid iteration makes design richer and more diverse while the wave of new technologies triggers unpredictable design transformation. Designers are faced with a more uncertain context than ever before. GDC Award 2023 is themed with “the Certainty of Uncertainties”, focusing on four directions, namely creative expression, technology integration, humanistic care and future exploration, with an aim to highlight the richer creative presentation, explore more multi-dimensional visual expression, and how to revolutionize the design experience while bringing more social value and emotional connection through integrated design practices in the new era.
GDC Award 2023 is honored to invite a jury panel consisting of globally renowned designers. The panel brings together professional designers of all ages, from different countries with various cultural backgrounds. Each of them has extensive design practices and forward-looking design thinking, representing segmented fields of the design industry. The international judges will evaluate all the entries from a professional perspective in a rigorous and fair manner. They will look into the creative inspiration, design principles and meaning of each entry. The selection criteria will cover and focus on innovation, practicality, aesthetic value, and positive influence on society and the environment.
We firmly believe that the international judges will provide more diversified perspectives to the GDC Award 2023. Their professional insights will guide and inspire the participants, helping them to strive for excellence in design. We are looking forward to their professional judgment which will definitely make GDC Award 2023 a memorable feast of design.

李在敏是一位平面设计师，同时也是三只猫的全职爸爸。他于2006年创立了Studio fnt设计工作室，并担艺术总监负责视觉创作和管理，与各种文化活动展开合作。他指导策划了「2021韩国国际字体双年展：一只龟和一只鹤」，并在广州和澳门举办了个展。此外，他曾担任一些著名设计奖的评委，包括法国肖蒙平面设计双年展、Award360°、澳门设计奖和亚太设计奖，其作品曾入选著名的海报竞赛和设计奖。
Jaemin Lee, a graphic designer and full-time dad to three cats, founded the design studio fnt in 2006. As an art director, he creates and manages visual aspects and collaborates with various cultural events. He directed the Typojanchi 2021: International Typography Biennale — A Turtle and a Crane and held solo exhibitions in Guangzhou and Macau. Additionally, he has served as a jury member for esteemed design awards, including the Chaumont Graphic Design Biennale, Award360°, Macau Design Award, and Asia-Pacific Design. His works have been selected for prestigious poster competitions and design awards.

花原正基是SOAR NY的创始人兼创意总监。SOAR NY位于纽约，是一家专门为以设计为核心的企业提供品牌塑造、视觉艺术和活动执行服务的设计工作室。2018年，波兰国家博物馆收藏了其十件艺术作品，其中包括一系列海报。此外，他还被“THE ONE SHOW”评为设计类四大创意总监之一。他还担任了2023年 ADC 奖的品牌类评委。
Masaki is the Founder and Creative Director at SOAR NY. SOAR NY is a New York based design studio specializing in branding, visual art, and campaign executions for design-focused businesses. In 2018, the National Museum in Poland selected ten of his artworks, which consisted of a series of posters, to be part of their official museum collection. Additionally, he was recognized as one of the top four Creative Directors in the design category by THE ONE SHOW. He also served as a member of the ADC Jury for the Branding category in 2023.

A representative of new brands and new consumer design, he currently lives and works in Beijing and Los Angeles. He has won Tokyo TDC Award, GDA Jury Award and Silver Award, Red Dot Award, Golden Lion Award, Venice Outstanding Design Award and so on. Judging at ADC YOUNG GUNS in New York 2021, Tokyo TDC in Tokyo 2021 and Top Awards in Tokyo 2020.

They focuses on design, publishing and design education in the filed of culture. They have won over a hundred global awards, including the “Most Beautiful Books in the World” at Leipzig (2 awards), ADC Gold Cube(2 awards), ADC Bronze Cube(3 awards), D&AD Gray Pencil (2 awards), Wood Pencil (2 awards), Gold Award of Design for Asia Awards (2 awards), Gold Award of Asia's Most Influential Design Award, Gold Award of HKDA Global Design Awards, Nomination of TDC in Tokyo, China's Most Beautiful Book Award (11 awards), Gold Award of the National Book Design Exhibition (2 awards), China Governmental Award for Publishing. They have also served as judges for the UK D&AD, "China's Most Beautiful Book", Graduate360 and other awards. Rich Tu是第一代美籍菲律宾裔，定居于纽约布鲁克林，是一位屡屡获奖的设计师、艺术家，毕业于纽约视觉艺术学院插图专业。他是Sunday Afternoon的合伙人兼执行创意总监。此前，他曾在全球知名创意机构JKR、MTV娱乐集团、耐克等企业担任创意总监职位。此外，他还主持了播客First Generation Burden，该播客关注创意行业的跨专业性和多样性。同时，他是One Club for Creativity之COLORFUL奖的联合发起人，该奖项致力于为处于职业生涯早期的BIPOC群体创造更多机会。
Rich Tu is a first generation Filipino-American and award-winning designer and artist residing in Brooklyn, NY, and graduate of SVA’s Illustration as Visual Essay MFA program. He is a Partner and Executive Creative Director at Sunday Afternoon. Previously, Rich has held creative leadership roles at Jones Knowles Ritchie, MTV Entertainment Group, and Nike Inc. In addition, he hosts the Webby Honoree podcast First Generation Burden, which focuses on intersectionality and diversity within the creative industry, and is co-founder of the COLORFUL awards with the One Club for Creativity, dedicated to creating opportunities for early career BIPOC creatives.

周小良致力于品牌策划及设计，屡获国际设计大奖。于2010年为东京字体指导协会 (Tokyo TDC)设计视觉形象。近年更将业务拓展至零售及餐饮，先后创立生活创意产品店“MOD Design Store”、独立时装品牌店“C”及植物选品店“THE GREY GREEN”，创立及经营的品牌涉及产品、时装、植物、食品、酒吧及餐厅等。
Chao Sio Leong is dedicated to brand planning and design, and has received numerous international design awards. In 2010, he was invited by the Tokyo Type Directors Club (Tokyo TDC) to design the overall visual identity. In recent years, he has expanded his business into retail and dining, establishing the lifestyle creative product store “MOD Design Store,” the independent fashion brand store “C,” and the plant selection store “THE GREY GREEN.” The brands he has created and operated encompass products, fashion, plants, food, bars, and restaurants, among others.

蒂埃里.布鲁法特（Thierry Brunfaut）是Base Design的联合创始人兼创意总监。Base Design是一个品牌工作室国际网络，在布鲁塞尔、纽约、日内瓦和墨尔本均设有办公室。他创作了著名的5分钟海报系列，同时，他是一位教授，并经常在世界各地的设计和品牌会议上发表演讲。蒂埃里与莫比和科米蛙有惊人的相似之处。【备注：莫比（Moby）即Richard Melville Hall的艺名，美国著名音乐人，DJ。科米蛙，是芝麻街里的动漫人物】
Thierry Brunfaut is a creative director and one of the founding partners of Base Design, the international network of branding studios based in Brussels, New York, Geneva, and Melbourne. He is the author of the renowned 5–Minute poster series, a professor, and a regular speaker at design and branding conferences around the world. Thierry bears a striking and seemingly contradictory resemblance to both Moby and Kermit the frog.
Ps: Moby is the stage name of Richard Melville Hall, a famous American musician and DJ. Kermit Frog is an anime character in Sesame Street.

特诺普·旺西拉帕昆（Tnop Wangsillapakun）是TNOP DESIGN设计公司的创始人兼设计总监。TNOP DESIGN位于曼谷，是一家致力于艺术与设计无缝融合的设计和品牌咨询公司。Tnop合作客户群体广泛多样，从著名当代艺术家Erwin Wurm（奥地利），到曼谷通罗区的本地新概念购物中心The Commons。
Tnop积极参与泰国设计界的活动，经常在泰国及其他地区举办讲座和工作坊，并参加艺术和设计展览。此外，他还担任泰国兰实大学设计学院美术硕士课程的全职教授，并于2016年成为著名的国际平面设计协会 （AGI） 会员。
Tnop Wangsillapakun is the founder and design director of TNOP DESIGN, a communication design studio and branding consultancy based in Bangkok that strives to create a seamless blend of art and design. Tnop has collaborated with a diverse array of clients, from high-profile contemporary artist Erwin Wurm (Austria), to local businesses such as The Commons, a new concept mall located in Bangkok's Thonglor district.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Tnop is an active participant in the Thai design community. He frequently gives lectures, conducts workshops, and participates in art and design exhibitions throughout Thailand and beyond. Furthermore, Tnop is a full-time professor in the Master of Fine Art in Design program at Rangsit University's College of Design, and he has been a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) since 2016.
